I guess it's an acquired taste.
I remember the first time I watched a Dragon Ball Z episode back when I was a teenager. That movie pretty much summed up what I thought of the show.....
"How can they spend 5 minutes talking about 1 thing over and over using super dramatic cinematography?!? That's madness!"

Yeah! I can't believe it became so popular. If I remember correctly the title of each episode also gave away the ending. Were their writers high?!

I'm thinking that's exactly why arcanemacabre and I found it to be funny. The original Dragon Ball Z episodes, I don't know about the newer ones, where just that. 1 thing being drawn out in a multitude of overdramatic ways to fill a half an hour episode. It was quite an irritating thing to watch sometimes, but I guess that was part of it's charm back then?

Anyway, yes, for everyone who watched DragonBall Z way back when, this pretty much summarizes the entire experience. Thats why its funny. Me, i just tend to like random and exceedingly simplistic (read: retarded) internet humor, so thats a bonus for me as well.

The structure is identical to a typical Dragon Ball Z episode, use roughly 15 seconds of footage and somehow elongate it into something beyond what was worthy of your time.
